The New Saints FC Chairman Mike Harris has been charged with multiple Disciplinary Offences for a social media post published on the platform 'X' on 21 July 2026. Mr Harris has been charged with the following Disciplinary Offences:
What happened?
- The Disciplinary Offence as set out under FAW Rule 38.1.9 for posting inappropriate and/or offensive material, which is conduct likely to bring the game of Association Football, or the Football Association of Wales, into disrepute. - The Disciplinary Offence as set out under FAW Rule 38.1.1 for breach of clause 4.1.3 and/or 4.1.5 of FAW Social Media Regulations in that Mr Harris published a post which: Was offensive, insulting and/or derogatory which was likely to cause offence; and/or Brings the Association and/or the game of Association Football or all other forms of football under the jurisdiction of the Association into disrepute. - The Disciplinary Offence as set out under FAW Rule 38.1.1, pursuant to clause 2.3 and/or 2.5 of the FAW Discrimination Regulations, in that Mr Harris allegedly offended the dignity of a person or group of persons, either directly or indirectly by posting material which may be deemed to be contemptuous, discriminatory or denigratory.
