The New Saints delivered a devastating 9-0 victory over Cambrian & Clydach on Saturday to extend their unbeaten run and tighten their grip on the Cymru Premier summit. Seven different players found the net in a one-sided affair at Park Hall that saw the hosts five goals up inside 22 minutes.

Josh Lock opened the scoring in the seventh minute, setting the tone for a relentless first half. Brad Young and Rory Holden each scored twice, while Rhys Hughes also grabbed a brace before the break. Isaac Jefferies and substitute Jordan Williams added further goals in the second period, completing the rout.

The visitors' afternoon worsened when substitute Josh Allen was sent off just three minutes after coming on, having been shown two quick yellow cards. Cambrian & Clydach also saw goalkeeper Kelland Absalom injured at half-time, forcing 17-year-old Mason Morgan into a difficult top-flight debut. “It proved to be a baptism by fire as he conceded within two minutes and saw three more goals fly past him,” the match report noted.

This emphatic result sends The New Saints six points clear at the top of the table with 34 points from 12 games. Their goal difference now stands at an impressive +33. Their next fixture is a top-of-the-table clash against second-placed Connah's Quay Nomads at Park Hall on October 31st.
